Is this why you people LOVE the Palisades so much?

You can actually walk to useful places in the Palisades, unlike the close in suburbs.

Yes it sold for almost $3m.

So? Are you in the market for a turn-key house or something?

I know right. I never understand these people with the furniture comments. Unless it is something truly horrifying it doesn't matter.

Come on. I live in DC and have zip plans to move to the suburbs. But there are plenty of useful places to walk to in the inner suburbs, including a Metro stop.

Love Palisades. Fantastic public elementary school. Warm friendly neighbors. Vibrant farmers market. Walking distance to CVS, Safeway, Post office, Starbucks, the library, fantastic playground/rec center, and a handful of excellent restaurants. Lots of young families. At 8 am, I have a 10 minute drive to work. (And lots of people bike to work.) Access to nature trails and the Capital Crescent Trail. That particular house looks fantastic and I only wish I could afford it.

You're not buying the furniture.

The schools in that area are very good. It is annoying when "know nothing" people make uninformed comments about areas in which they have never lived.

I figured it is always the people who can't afford the homes who make the catty comments about furniture or paint color or something else of no consequece.

I love everything about this house - except the price tag, alas.

I've got no use for the Palisades.

This has me sobbing in my beautiful, conveniently-located house.

Not.

Liked this house and also liked how clean it was.
