Greece. I'm Greek, but don't really speak the language all that well. Doesn't matter. Whether in Athens or on the islands, they all speak English. I would suggest knowing where you're going with the cabbies....sometimes, they will take you the "long" way. Shouldn't take more than a half hour to get to a hotel in Athens from the airport.

| NP here. Re Greece, also if you know ahead of time what some of the non-Arabic letters of the alphabet sound out to, (like the letter for the "th" sound, for example) then you can sound signs out and often figure out what's what. |
