Almost all interracial couples I see everywhere in the US are like this

My White BIL is married to my black SIL.

Guess you would be flummoxed by interracial gay marriage...

It is if you're Asian. My white DH and I had a similar incident on vacation. Definitely makes me LOL.

Don't know what the stats are for other ethnicities but a full 30% of American-born Korean men marry white women. It's really not as uncommon as you think. (Certainly the reverse is more common, it's something like 60% for women)

Are you all 70? If not I'd say you are the mail order bride table.

Yeah it is. We were all in longterm relationships full of respect and affection. Sometimes things are funny even if outsiders think they shouldn't be.

And we're all in our 40s, not 70s.

Nope. Mail order. The war's been over for nearly 40 years.

Don't forget the white woman Indian man

Anonymous wrote:Me Asian, him white. Why? Well, for me, I grew up with lots of Asian male friends. They were like brothers to me. So when I see an Asian dude, it's like he's my brother, and I have no desire to marry my bro. Also, Asian males tend to be more misogynistic, and I ain't down with that. But then again, I wouldn't marry any man that was misogynistic regardless of race. Can't speak to other races. The other reason could just be proximity - this is what's around them, the group they hang out with, etc.

Or, like for DH, could just be that's who the person is attracted to.

+1

I'm Asian and I agree with you. We could be sisters!

Well I'm hapa married to a white guy, mostly because 100% Asian guys are generally too short for me.

Ditto. Having been born and raised here in the US, I know many combinations of Asian and Hispanic/White/Asian (different ethnicities) with all gender arrangements. The one category that I don't know many of are Asian-Black or any orientation.
