wall system without built ins?

this is lovely! If you don't mind - can I ask you a few questions - do you find that the 16" depth of the Besta works for most things you are storing in the cabinets? Also - did you paint your Besta like in this example and if so have any reservations about the longevity of painting over the veneer? I've been looking into the Besta as well and while I do want a white built-in, I don't like the white Besta because it is a foil finish which doesn't seem like it will withstand long term use and I don't think I'd ever paint over that. The other color Besta options look like they are a wood veneer. thanks!
