| Yes, I think many homes will be on the market in the next few weeks. Two in my neighborhood will be on the market in two weeks (mine being one of them). We are upgrading after eleven years in this house. Interest rates are still reasonable and we have a lot of equity in the house, so an upgrade is reasonable. |
I agree. Loved their paint colors and it's a great location. |
| I kinda think the weather IS holding back listings. Today, sleet and snow? YUCK. Who wants people traipsing through the house in this weather? And having the kids with their boots while you are trying to keep the house clean? I can see the logic about the weather. Will be interesting to see if April brings anymore listings. |
| If about 35% of sales are in May, June, July, does that mean most LISTINGS are in April, May? |
Under contract! That was fast! |
Yes, that's what I've seen since I started looking in 2012. That spring was an anomaly since it was never really winter, so there was an unusual number of March listings, but I'd say that the spring season doesn't really begin until April in a normal year. The weather should be decent this weekend, and it is finally April, so we'll see if listings start ramping up. We're under contract now, but I hope things pick up for everyone else's sake. |
| Arlington has really become the hot spot for nightlife and living close to the city for the 20-30 year olds. Lots of action there and a very large singles population. I've been in Clarendon for dinner several Saturday nights and it's pretty wild. |
| definitely, you should stake your home buying on the outcome of flowers |
| Looks like a decent amount of new listings in Bethesda this weekend. |
