Another vote for Surfside, and its sister, Jetties. In the MD burbs, my family loves La Limena for awesome Peruvian.

Yes Great Wall Szechuan rocks!

If "dc metro area" counts then I'd say Woodlands in college park.

El rinconcito cafe. You can get awesome el salvadorian food (lunch/dinner) for under $10. Most dishes are in the $10-15 range.

Favorite sandwiches are the New Orleans Po' Boy Shop, or Bub & Pop's on M.
Favorite counter'n'sit is Teaism Penn Quarter.

I was told NOLA Po Boy Shop closed recently. If not I am heading there this week.

Two Amys is good, one pizza is enough for 2 peps so I consider it a good price.

If so that really really blows. That place is/was great.
There are very good sandwiches around the corner at Bub & Pop's. I would sometimes stand on M Street between them, openly wrestling with my indecision.

I also had a darn good oyster po' boy at Rumors the other day. I was quite surprised.

Moby Dick. Locations in Dupont Circle and close to downtown Bethesda. (May be others, but I've only been to those two.)

Taqueria Distrito Federal. They always bring a free small plate of chicken beans and rice for the kids right after we've ordered our dinners.
