Is travel buff hose back in?

Go to OneHanesPlace.com and look under Silk Reflections. Travel Buff is my second favorite color after Natural (which is very hard to find). It's a good basic for a skirt suit.

How did you know the name/color of the hose?

I've been buying the same ones for 20+ years.

It's a pretty distinctive color - sort of putty like more than natural.

Anonymous wrote:Travel Buff was a color of hose I remember wearing in the 90's when I worked for a company that required women to wear hose with skirts/dresses. It was a beige/off-white/nude color and worked with black, navy, red, everything. I used to stock up on it at the Hecht's at Metro center when they had their hosiery sale. It was very sheer and didn't make you look like you had cabbage patch doll legs. I think it was made by Hane's.

Definitely Hanes. I remember Travel Buff fondly.

Loved travel buff. It was my skin tone. Spanx has something close that I buy, forget the color name. It matches my yellow-pasty skin perfectly. Whenever I have a trial, I always start it with a fresh package of the Spanx sheer suck in your gut, hold up your butt hose. Highly rec the Spanx nudes line because no one wants to see my legs without them.

I had forgotten about Travel Buff, but I wore that color all the time. Thanks for the flashback!

Me too! Basically, the perfect color hose for Caucasian skin. It's been ages, and I don't need to wear hose for my work now, but I remember buying that color in bulk back in the day!

I'm a fan of Hanes Ultra Sheer hose in pale gray, though I have also worn plenty of Hanes Silk Reflections in Travel Buff! They still sell them at Macy's downtown...

I for one am glad to hear that more women are wearing hose in their professional attire. That is how I was raised; jeans and a shirt on Saturday, but for work, especially if meeting clients or marketing; for a skirt or dress you always wear hose, nude or what the occasion calls for. Formal is just that, not what Hollywood would have you believe. But . . . I digress. Whenever I wear a dress or skirt 99% of the time I wear hose. Not always heels . . .
Thank you for restoring my faith that there are still some women that dress for the occasion . . . picnic; jeans and a blouse are great . . .

What do you wear at trial when wearing a suit with a skirt?

I don't wear hose during the warm months with skirt suits, and I've achieved many favorable verdicts with bare legs.

DKNY has a nude (I think it is actually called nude) that is pretty much not even there. Perfect with pumps and great for those of us with pale legs.
