OP here. I took an FRER expecting to see negative or close to it for closure - however the line is even darker. After a super squinter yesterday and a negative blood test. I don't know how this is happening. This line you can see ten feet away. If figure if anything it would be the opposite...

Sorry to clarify and in order - super squinter FRER yesterday FMU, positive doctor urine, called today to say bloodwork was negative and now I just took another FRER that is darker. Doesn't make sense. Period is due tomorrow - can I just pretend this is my first bfp and pretend I never went to the dr?? Denial...

OP I would go back to the doctor. They should allow you one more test. Good luck I hope this is your rainbow baby!

FWIW, I had a MMC in May 2013. Got my first BFP after in January 2014. Such a long wait. Now am 13 weeks and things seem to be going well. But I'll tell you this, my anxiety is incredible. Gone are the days of whining about pregnancy symptoms and telling all the world I'm pregnant after the first trimester (like with DS#1). Instead, I'm constantly worried something is going to happen and expecting the worst. The PP who said earlier that your innocence is ripped away by miscarriage is right - it's so unfair and so true.

OP I would wait a few days and then retest. It is possible your blood test was given too early and there just wasn't enough HGC.

I too had a MMC at 12 weeks and it was horrible. I'm now 12 weeks with this pregnancy and just starting to feel slightly better. It is a long haul, but you will hopefully get there soon.

OP--I'm so sorry. I've had two mmcs and it's just devastating. I'm almost 16 weeks now and everything seems to be going ok. It's hard not to be terrified that it will happen again and I feel like I'm just getting there. Many good luck wishes to you.

OP here to update: took a test today at 13dpo out of curiosity and it was immediate and dark! Almost as dark as the control line. I don't think this could happen if it were chemical...I'm thinking maybe beta was too early.

If it was too early for a blood test then you wouldn't have gotten a positive urine test. If you actually are pregnant and haven't miscarried then there must have been a lab error or they mixed your results with someone else's

I thought maybe a lab mixup but my sister that would be next to impossible. I guess anything is possible though. I'm anxious for my follow beta Monday though.

Also forgot to mention - I asked the nurse how it could possibly be negative with beta of two if I had just taken a positive pregnancy test in their office that required 25. She said it was probably a faulty test and had no other explanation. I knew this wasn't true because of my faint bfp at home. So through Dr. Google I found the pregnancy hormone leaves blood before urine so I figured I did in fact miscarry and that explains the negative test. But now 2 days later my tests are much, much darker. Almost control line dark. It just doesn't make any sense.

OP here to update: I have continued to bleed rather heavily and went to doctor today for 2nd beta. Their urine tested positive still. Dr said that should be impossible after a beta of 2 on thursday - 5 days ago. He said he is stumped and didn't know what was going on.

I asked if it's miscarriage can I get tested for blood clot disorder and hormone problems and he said he won't test me because he isn't considering this a real miscarriage or pregnancy since my blood never tested positive. Then how the hell am I still getting positive urine test even this morning?!

Has anyone else ever had this situation? I am sad and confused and ready for this nightmare to be over. Doctor gave me 0 answers and kind of insinuated I was crazy by asking if I borrowed someone else's pee sticks to show him - despite the fact that my test in their office this morning was positive too. Maybe I am losing my mind!

Please have them try to rule put ectopic op
Anonymous
I'm sorry, OP this sounds stressful .

Are they sure you passed all the product of conception with the mc? I think you need an ultrasound , to check that and to rule out ectopic also.

Pp again. I just reread and it sounds like you are early. Have them do serial betas to help figure out ectopic. With miscarriage the usually are falling, and ectopic rising abnormally. Sometimes with impeding miscarriage they rise abnormally too. So sorry for everything you are going through. Keep pushing the doctors - this is your health and figuring out what is going on is not crazy.
