| I'm the Op and yep, I'm a mom of two. Not trying to look 22, but not willing to give up and wear yoga pants every day either. |
Yeah, I saw that, too, PP! OP, I think you could definitely do what she does in the link above--with the jeans and a simple long sweater, etc. would look great. Quick while it's still cold out!

OP here - exactly the look I wanted to go for!! Unfortunately, her "cheaper" version of those boots is sold out in my size Might be too late for this year for me...

Why is this blog frequently quoted here? I find her clothes a bit dated. |
| I like it with the dress. With the jeans, she looks like a pirate. |
| I don't think she's trying to be on the cutting edge of fashion. Her point, essentially, is dressing to look good and not frumpy even after you have kids. So she mostly does clothes that hide tummies, work for nursing, work for running around on the playground, etc. She does have an "edgier" style than I like, but I still get some good ideas with every post. |
I'm the OP, and you just ruined over-the-knee boots for me Now whenever I look at those pictures, I think pirate. You've officially convinced me to abandon the idea.

My work here is done! Mwahahahaha ..... <swirls cape> |

I saw this ANMJ post today and thought of you, OP. I was the PP who said the post was 4 years old and dated. Even though the post today featured over the knee boots, I still don't like them. I usually what is featured on ANMJ. To each their own and I, by no means, think it's an age thing. I think they look pirate-y and I don't see this trend lasting long. I think some classic boots are the way to go.

| Yes you can wear these. Do what you want. |
| I know a very fit and fashionable 62 year old who wears similar boots with skinny black pants and looks great. In theory it sounds terrible, but with the right styling and attitude it can be done in a non-pirate, non-Pretty Woman way. I wouldn't have believed it to be possible until I saw it work in person. It's not for me, but go for it OP! I bet you'd look great. |

Of course you can wear over the knee boots. Pair it with a shift-like top and you will be fine.

| Wear whatever makes you happy. Why ask a group of strengers? You asked about being too old, I think. No you aren't too old. |
OP here. I've read this three times now and have snickered out loud every time. You're too funny
