I love her but yeah the show is a victim of its own success now. The writing has become too self conscious and repetitive. They're going down a rabbit hole like Homeland.

+100 to both posts. When the Emmys roll around and everyone screams racism because KW doesn't win, it's maddening. Claire Danes and Robin Wright act circles around Kerri Washington. I'm sorry but she is just not in their league as an actress. She's awful!!!! If you've watched House of Cards then you understand that Robin Wright is putting on an acting master class in that show. She is insanely good and deserves every award known to man as long as she plays Claire Underwood. I'm so glad she's getting the recognition she deserves.

Don't forget about James Novak (Dan Bucatinsky) and Sally Douglas (Meredith's mom from Grey's Anatomy). Those two, in addition to Cyrus and Mellie, are very good.

Scandal is not that good anymore but I'm hanging in there just because it is so absurd.

Are you sure all these posts are not from the same person or from just 1 or 2 posters? For a show as popular as scandal, it's strange that there's this much consensus about its main character.

I agree James and Sally are great in their roles too.

I often forget that Kate Burton is Richard Burton's daughter. She looks just like her mom:

The show is popular because it had a great storyline the first season. KW's weird facial expressions were there, but there was actually hope that it would change.

Now the storyline is tired and unbelievable and her expressions are also tired and unbelievable.

i think people want to like the show but deep down know it is horrible. I was able to watch about 10 minutes of it-shocked at how bad the acting was. Truly horrible.

The whole sleeping with the president thing is getting old. I don't care about it anymore. Give me more of people coming to her agency for help. I could've even watch a little more of the wile B613 thing. If the show turns into her affair and her relationship with her mother and father then I'm done.

I hope Scandal ends itself -- I don't want to be a hanger-on the way I am with Grey's Anatomy (which hasn't been good for years -- but the DVR knows to record GA and I've never told it otherwise).

Yup, and he's such a weak character. I can't understand why she would compromise so much to continue their selfish relationship.

Mellie is great. So is Cyrus. Kate Burton is awesome as Sally (and in almost all she does). I think James is just okay. I don't really believe his relationship with Cyrus. I like Scott Foley as Jake (though I think his becoming the head of B613 doesn't feel plausible.

Ah well. I just took it off my DVR this week. It's not worth it anymore.
