| We rent here right across the street from the Lacey Woods. LOVE IT! Kids all over. Nice kids; nice families. |
| ^^ forgot to say, DH has an easy commute to work in downtown DC. Today he rode on the bike trail; yesterday he drove, and I think Friday he Metro'd in (bike trail to Ballson metro). Can't go wrong! |
There aren't any |
| Hmmmm I can't seem to find this neighborhood with Redfin. Any tips? |
Hey, we used to own there! Which house are you in? We owned 1127 N. George Mason from 2002 -2005. Loved it! We're in the Langley section of McLean now...totally different. Miss the area and walking to Westover, Ballston, etc. DC#1 loved the park. Actually, DC#2 used to make me drive him to the park, even though he was born after we moved! |
awfully nasty & self righteous there, aren't we?

We used to live there-moved very recently. We liked it.
Of note-The street matters-some streets have Halloween parades and tons of kids running around and others don't. Generally the neighborhood is turning over to lots of young families. The redistrict doesn't really impact Lacey Woods as much as some areas of Tara/Larchmont and those on other side of 66...w We moved because we outgrew the house....generally the houses there are cute (but older) 3 bedrooms/2 bath or 4 really small bedrooms (unless you are getting newer construction as they are tearing down a lot there) But the walk to the park was great--always something happening at park- and you can't beat how close it is to the bike trail/west over etc We sold our house in a day...inventory moves quickly there so you need to snatch it up...given how close it is to metro and dc, you will get a good return on your $ |
PP I am not trying to be snarky, but as a caution anyone can now go onto the Arlington County tax records and learn your identity from the time period you owned the house you mentioned. It may not matter to you, but an FYI |
