| Who cares what we think. Do what works for you. The BOB might be a bit clunky to carry around when he wants to walk. |
Those things fall apart. Especially with a 5 year old. Just use your BOB and be prepared to carry it. |
|
Um, what is the question? do what works for you.

We've had our instep for 4 years, it still looks like new and is used a reasonable amount including a trip (with flight) to disney). |

I have a house in OCNJ and for a 5yr old I would recommend no stroller. Honestly, it gets so cramped, especially inside the Wonderland Pier. There is no where to push them. I would NEVER EVER bring a BOB stroller unless I was going to jog on the boards in the morning, every morning. And then I still wouldn't bring it up to the boards at night.
A 5yr old can walk just fine. The boards are not that big. There are 2 major amusement piers and they are 8 city blocks between each other. That will be the extent of your walking except back to the parking lot or house, depending on where in OC you are staying. The most important things to remember about OCNJ is Manco & Manco Pizza

| PP here. I forgot to mention we have a 4yr old and didn't use a stroller at all last summer. She was 3 and turned 4 in August. |
| Can't he ride a bike or scooter? And you should bring an umbrella stroller, not a huge cushy infant-toddler stroller. I would want my four year old to be walking as much as possible. |
| The scooter is interesting--does anyone know if I am allowed to have that on the boards at night? You are only allowed to have bikes in the morning and I wasn't sure if this conveyed to scooters as well. Thanks for all the advice--Yes on the Pizza..I love that pizza!! |
| I second the scooter suggestion. We have scooter pulls which make it pretty easy to just pull the kids behind us. |
| I think a stroller is a good idea. I'll never forget the summer at Wildwood when I was 4 and my sister was a baby. I was evicted from the stroller and they walked me up and down the boardwalk for a couple hours most nights. It was exhausting and painful. I would have given anything to sit in that stroller! |
