OP, I once tried to make a parody thread, which nobody seemed to get. I was also surprised at the hostility directed at me, so I never tried it again. Come on people, you may not find it that funny, but you don't need to be so mean!!

We did take a few overseas trips last year with the kids - but those are such educational/enrichment opportunities for the children.
And we only shop at Whole Foods - but that is something we think is very important for our health.

We have a heated swimming pool and that is our only indulgence...

Kids are going to private schools - but that's the only way they can get into the Ivies...so, there is really nothing we can cut back on...

The sad thing is, that I know a family who has a HHI of over 850K, but they are always complaining about how broke they are and how they are struggling. It makes me want to slap them across the face and tell them to STFU.

You forgot that bespoke clothes, designer handbags and shoes, and weekly salon appts are necessary to maintain a professional appearance, and It just makes more sense to buy a house at the beach if you're going to spend an entire week there.
