When will Lafayette Elementary be renovated?

Will this be the end of the cafetorium? It has been special having a small space that doubles as an auditorium, cafeteria, gallery etc for 700 kids!!!

Let's hope - it's especially lovely when it's a steamy 85 degrees in there!! This is a great thing for the school and Lafayette families have been waiting a long time for it.

I think the cafetorium works well for an elementary school. What would have instead?

At least it isn't the gym too.

That cafeteria is scary- one of the main reasons we won't go there. They crowd these little kids in there in various age groups and it is pretty overwhelming kids who on the shy side.

Uh, no they don't. It is crowded, but it is controlled. Kids have to sit at certain space. And, your shy kid would be fine because they are only in there for all of 10 minutes, eating. Not great in itself, so maybe that is the reason you should attend private. At least, it would be accurate.

Do kids really get only 10 minutes to eat a meal?

Where did you go to school?! This was the set up we had when I was growing up. Shy kids need to get over it.

If you think "shy kids" need to get over it....you are truly missing out. It is called empathy and it is necessary for the survival of the human race.
