Has anyone heard from Lowell yet?

For those of you who got FA from Lowell, how much did you get? I figure I could ask since this is anonymous.

We got accepted but with a lot less FA than we had hoped for. It's a little bittersweet b/c we love the school but don't know how to pay for it.

Same here. Much less FA than we hoped. They were telling us that 50% was average, we got more like 20%. And disappointed that we have to reserve a spot (with $1,000 deposit) before dc lottery results come out. It will be a struggle to find the tuition dollars, but we would do our best to scrape if DS has no other option.

Pre primary is excellent. Not sure if other grades are worth the money.

Last commenter does not know about the primary school which is also excellent with plenty of kids who do well there and go on to highly desired privates and MoCo magnets

We got in for K but no to financial aid so we are sadly cannot take the k spot. Waiting until tomorrow to tell them.

Ditto (but for a different grade). This was actually the only private we applied to, so we are pretty bummed. We have a backup option, and also are doing some of the charter lotteries, but Lowell was our first choice.

We got in but no aid and we need it so probably will give up spot

I'm jealous of those that received financial aid. We were accepted but with no aid at all. We would have been happy with 20%. Without it, we may have to decline our spot. Sad because we really love the school.
