I do the coconut oil treatment at least once a week, twice if I can. I put it on when I'm home from work and wash out before bed.
- I put it on damp hair.. I read somewhere that this "locks in moisture" but who knows. - you don't need to melt it on the stove or anything, just worked it around your fingers melts it enough to apply. - I do wrap a scarf around it to catch any drips. - I does take me 2 shampoos to get it all out. My hair has never looked better, I get complements all the time. |

| OP here - I tried the coconut oil and sadly , it didn't work. Actually had the opposite effect on my hair. Next up - a glaze. |

OP,
Try Kenra's Moisturizing deep conditioner. And use it under a hooded dryer for at least 30 to 60 minutes |
| It takes time but I think it works. Hairdresser my hair was extremely dry and said I needed to use a deep conditioner 3 times a week. I did it for two months and started to see results.hair is definitely silkier. |
After glopping, I put my hair in a clip, just so I don't get slapped in the face with coconut oiled hair and it doesn't touch my shirt/shoulders, etc. |
I scoop out some coconut oil from the tub with two fingers, and then rub it in the palms of my hands, which changes it from solid white to oil, and then I pet it onto my hair. |

I am a product junkie but rarely notice anything that works all that well.
Yesterday i bought the Pantene Keratin Repair Kit at Target. It has a shampoo, conditioner and leave in treatment. It is amazing. Completely smoothed out my split ends and my hair is so soft. I notices a difference the second I towel dried my hair. I really think it's worth trying! |
