And... pay attention to details, turn things in one time, follow directions, manage projects efficiently...

I'd rather have a neurosurgeon who got high grades than low grades, in all honesty.

I would rather have a neurosurgeon who has a history of successful surgeries.

In general people who get very high grades - tend to be very achievement oriented and do well in specialized skill jobs - like neurosurgery. These are the people who are detail oriented, not risk takers, who love clear protocols and who like to be able to practice, master and excel at a skill. A students with Type A personalities do well in these areas.

B and C students who are also intelligent (underachievers - could get As if they worked harder or followed the rules) tend to go on to be the leaders and the thinkers. They are more creative, take risks, and are better at accepting and learning from failure, disappointment and whatnot. they start up and run companies, they are the visionaries and the innovators. There are also some A students with Type B personalities that fit in this category too.

B and C students who work really hard to get their B and C are the workhorses who keep companies and businesses running., They have great work ethics, often good organizational skills and they get the jobs done. They are the reason the leaders can lead and be successful.
