So confused and would value input about IVF and FET

Op here: I spoke to my RE. He feels very confident that I will be succesful with my frozen embryo but understands my desire to get more embryos while younger by doing a mother fresh cycle. So, no more clarity on this and am just as torn as I have been. It sounds like the consensus on this thread is to go with another fresh.

I think it depends on how much you think you'll want a second baby and whether you can deal with the cost of fresh. If you really want a second baby later, then I'd do a fresh cycle so you might have frozen for dear child 2.

I agree with the fresh cycle advice. Wants your fertility diagnosis? Also what I a the quality of your frozen? Is it a 5 day vs a 2 day? If it's a 5 day and high quality I'd just do it. I know several women who conceived naturally by surprise later on.

Pp here sorry meant to say you may not go wrong with either choice.

Op here, yeah-- I feel like I'll be successful either way. My frozen is a day 5 good quality embryo. My doc feels positive about it working. I'm just wondering if the "smarter" choice is to go with fresh so that I will have younger embryos for the future when we want another two or three years down the road. It's a matter of just focusing on the now ( because I feel positive about my frozen) vs planning for the future.

Thanks for thoughts and advice

16:14, you said you opted for a fresh cycle for your second round instead of FET. Were you successful?

OP here: Ive looked at my clinics success rates, and it appears as though FETs have a higher success rate-- but I thought that generally speaking fresh always had higher success rates. Still confused about what to do.
