I thought the back story with Michonne was interesting. I don't recall getting too much back story on the other characters in the form of flashbacks like that. Have there been any?

Also didn't realize those first two zombie repellents she had were her lover and his friend.

One thing I don't understand is how much time has elapsed here? A couple of seasons, certainly. How do these zombies keep subsisting without a food source?

It seems to be the way that the storyrunner, Scott Gimple, is operating. He spent a lot of time on the Gov'nor. And it looks like he will be doing more backstory in upcoming episodes with some of the other characters, too.

Not to play devils advocate but im so glad the gov was killed off. He was pure evil.

Loved the way they did the Michonne flashback! I wonder what happened to her baby?

Enjoyed the lighter moment of Rick telling Carl that the knock on the door was for him.

I would definitely enjoy more flashback episodes. Especially if it'll bring back former characters like TDog

I got the feeling that michone's lover killed himself and the baby so while. She made a comment like "I survived you would have been ok, he would have been ok" so not sure how it happened but that's what I think

I loved tdog. While watching I saw that commercial for the comic con like convention in Baltimore so I googled it and Tdog and carol will be there.

I thought the scene of Carl eating the pudding on the roof of the house symbolized how he is still just a kid, and made me kind of sad for him. And when he said to his dad "Shane taught me, remember him?", it made me want to strangle him! I wasn't a big fan of Shane but with him gone I see how important his character was, I miss him.

I said it before and I still believe it, Tyrrse has Judith.

I was disappointed in this first episode. I know they need to lay groundwork or whatever, but it was kind of boring.

They showed some previews from the next episode and he is alive and well in the woods somewhere with the younger of the two sisters ( the ond who was taking card of ricks infant).

I can't wait until the next episode!
