I thought 8x10 was pretty big. How big was your huge?

You are right. I just measured ours - 12x16. It seems huge.

Dash and Albert. We got a really cute indoor/outdoor rug for my sons bedroom with a thick carpet pad. It has held up remarkably well.

We got DDs rug from Bed Bath & Beyond. I'm happy with the softness.

I have bought several from Overstock, going by the reviews and have never been led wrong. If there are dozens -> hundreds saying it is soft, it probably is.

We bought two rugs there, including our nursery rug, and had a good experience.

We actually used a bath mat, rag-rug style, from Bed Bath, in DD's room. A cinch to wash, and when she decided she didn't want a rug in her room, we just gave it away. I think it was less than $100!

OP, as to material, chenille is nice for a bedroom.

flor.com for rug tiles. Easy to change and create your look. Pile is short, easy to clean. Love these things!

Home goods for sure!

We got two rugs there, too, including a playroom rug. OP, personally, I would never get a synthetic rug for my kids' rooms hey are going to be more expensive, but it is totally worth it.
