At my daughter's preschool, each parent takes a turn bringing in the snack. I don't think it'd go over well with the 20 kids in the class to bring in anything exotic. Or having to buy 4 or 5 boxes of something.
The rules are you have to bring in 2 of the food groups. So most people do a grain and a fruit. The last time I brought in plain Chex, she said the kids really liked it. |
Really? Why not just some candy and juice boxes. How about some orange slices and air popped popcorn? |
Almost all of that sounds messy and difficult to bring for multiple kids. In our school, snack has to be individually wrapped. And there is no refrigeration. I see no problem with boring, simple snacks. The purpose is to keep the kids from gnawing their own arm off. |
