gluten free guest - what to buy/make?

If your friend has Celiac disease, be careful of most packaged foods - lots of soy sauce, boxed chicken broth, etc has some wheat flour in it. If they just avoid it, you've got more wiggle room. I tend to do simple things with fresh ingrediants that let my g.f. friend check the ingrediant label - steak sprinkled with salt and pepper, salmon spread with mustard and baked, chicken rubbed with olive oil, paprika, cumin, garlic and salt and baked. Etc. Wild rice and quinoa are great sides as are simple steamed veggies dressed with olive oil. Dessert is a pain, though, and I just go to Buzz Bakery or one of them...
