GDS uses Everyday Math. Don't know if there are plans to change it.

Yes, GDS does use Everyday Math; however, they teach it different. You know the mechanics on how lessons are learned vary a lot and it truly depends on the method and who's teaching it.

Lowell just started using Everyday Math this year, so the math program may just change. After 30 years of their old method, one would think after all these years and complaints of math not being very strong, that something had to give. We will see where this goes. Stay tuned...

As for Green Acres, their academic program is very engaging and aggressive, but yet subtle for each age group. It prepares the child for high schools of the same magnitude and it encompasses a well rounded person at the same time. It allows each child to challenge him/herself and the curriculum aids this. It is a wonderful progressive school.

The vast majority of private schools use Everyday Math - as wella s ll public schools that I know of.

Yes, GDS is progressive - very much so.
