Olney or Brookeville. Can take back roads to Rockville. |
Rock creek valley, Barnsley, or flower valley districts are all nice. |
You may consider Beverly Farms elementary. It feeds to Hoover and then Churchill high. Houses in the neighborhood goes for about 500-650k. It is off Montrose road so easy commute for you and husband. |
You can find houses in the 500-600 range in parts of Chevy Chase in the BCC Cluster |
Depending on budget, definitely Kensington. Different sections of Kensington feed into different school districts so just be aware but the prices are adjusted for the different school districts. Two sections go to Bethesda school clusters an one goes to a silver spring school district. |
Montgomery County - Good School locations? None. Save your money and try a different county. One that isn't going down the tubes. |
Snort. |
Rockville's one thing; commuting to DC is another. I live in Brookeville. |
Thanks for the inout everyone! |
Input, not inout...! |
I live in Montgomery Village and get down to DC, NW, in about an hour+ leaving at 7am. However I do use the HOV lanes as I have to drop off the kids at school in DC. |
lol..u know if I had to do it over again, I would move to Howard County...seriously. MC has changed so much so fast.. |

Neighborhoods:
Potomac Woods Fallsmead Rockshire College Gardens Horizon Hill Fallsgrove Historic Rockville brand new development by Rio shopping area I wouldn't go to Olney or Gaithersburg areas (although I love those locations) I would stay as close to 270/495 area if possible. Nothing further up than exit 6 on 270. Past there is where the traffic will be torture for you. |
Agree. School administration has not kept up with changes and not addressed issues like overcrowding. |
