In this weather, what boots are you wearing?

LOVE the LL Bean or Tevas, some of the Sorels are great too.

I refuse to ever buy Uggs. Everyone I see with them looks so unhappy. Is it part of the branding? "For the pissed off housewife"?

Is that part of your personality? Ask what people are wearing and then make fun of them?

There's nothing to indicate that was the OP.

you are all wearing uggs outside in the snow? Don't your feet get wet?

I'm wearing either Merrell boots (for work days) or a pair of red wings motorcycle boots.

La Canadienne, Aquatalia

I have a pair of La Canadienne boots that are probably a decade old, but still so warm. They are slouchy black suede with a gray furry lining that can be folded down.

In the snow - my Ugg Brooks (they're not suede on the foot part) which are now 10 years old!

Going to work/school/out - La Canadienne Passion - bought on sale last year - very warm.

Good boots last for years.

Hiking shoes that are waterproof and have treads at the bottom to negotiate icy/snowy sidewalks.

walking the dogs, running errands, shoveling snow, taking DC to the sledding hill: Patagonia boots that are a waterproof shearling. Not quite as warm as traditional Sorels, but significantly warmer than Bean's duck boots. And a more flexible sole, so I can actually walk a fair distance in them.

Office: either my brown Blondo boots with a moderate heel, or black flat "riding" La Canadienne boots. Both are waterproof with a good non-skid sole and somewhat insulated. And dressy enough to wear in the office all day. Pricy, but classic enough styles that I should get at least a decade of use out of them.

If it is a liberal leave, casual day, I might wear my snow boots to the office and change to flats.

My toasty warm Uggs.
