Haha, this is why they do not have the sleeping rooms anymore. When Spa World just opened, they had sex-segregated sleeping rooms where one could go for a nap. I am not Korean, but I think this is a traditional feature of a Korean spa house. Back then the entry fee bought you unlimited stay, too... but I digress. And later I heard that the men's sleeping room was closed because, well, sex happened there. Could have been couples that came together, or casual hookups... not good either way. Interesting that there are no ads for women seeking women. Either lesbians do not patronize this establishment, or they are discreet. |

Woman here. I've been a few times. I like the saunas, but the naked pool area grosses me a out. I don't mind the hot tub or the sauna in there, but the main pool is gross.
I made my way around it to try out all the different jets and there were a few that literally shoot water up you ass and vag. That water can't stay up there and it comes right back out into the pool. YUCK!

Oh cool, a public bidet
So it's a gay hangout? Who knew!? |
Lol! I still love spa world, but I highly doubt my DH would ever go. |
Women aren't going to fall in love or be overwhelmed by desire just because you're naked. |
| So, so gross. I can't believe people go there. Nasty. |
| I love it! Have never gotten a sexual vibe from anyone there. It's a great way to relax. The massage/body scrub is great too (but pretty intense). The single-sex areas are all naked, so yes, you must be comfortable being naked in front of others of your sex. |

It is terrible, never ever go there!
(My favorite place on earth and it is getting WAY too crowded these days. )
|
| Why does everyone have to be naked? |
| I just read some reviews and am intrigued by the scrub--but really that would be the only thing I'd be interested so I don't want to have to pay spa fees on top of that. Does anyone know of another spa where you can get just a scrub like that (apparently this is a really intense scrub!)? |
And now you made me click just to see if it WAS a bad idea. Yep, it was… |
I've had the scrub and it's okay. I did it once and don't really feel like ever doing it again. You can get the same sort of exfoliation just buying a scrub brush and using it in the shower. I don't think they use a new brush with each person and I can't see how they would it get clean buy just washing them since there is so much dead skin trapped in it. Kinda gross, unfortunately I didn't think about that until I was already being scrubbed. |
Oh gawd. It is even nastier than I thought. |
Hmmm good point! I'll just head to bed bath and beyond and buy my own body brush or something

I'm not clicking on the link. Why ruin a good thing?
DH and I have been twice. We really enjoyed it both times. I was a bit weirded out by the concept before I went, but like other posters have said I was fine after a few minutes. No one is looking at you. It is a great place to get away and escape. Good Asian food at the café. I feel so relaxed afterwards. I have never gotten a creepy vibe. I don't recommend the deep tissue massage, though. They really hurt DH - and he is a strong guy who has had many massages before. |
