I love when people reply about AA Co schools when they have no idea what they're talking about. AHS is one of the IB magnets for AACPS. The school experience will be very depending on if your kid is in IB or not.
Bates is the Performing an Visual Arts magnet. Unlike IB, magnet kids and local kids are in a lot of classes together in middle school. Bates is really a different school than it was 5 years ago.
