How much do good realtors make per year?

I don't work for Washington Fine Properties or TTR, bot a well regarded firm. My average sale in a close in area is $750,000.

sickening

$1M gross, then there are expenses. $1M is a lot to make for a person, but not quite so much for a business.

True

This agent puts a lot into a sale -- pro photographer, pro stager, high-quality print materials, website, etc. But that is still just a fraction of the revenue.

That's why I was not afraid to be very picky and take my time to find my dream house with my chosen agent. She had to work for my money.

You guys know that most realtors don't make anywhere near the listed figures, right? It can actually be a pretty brutal industry for those just starting out.

You should watch Million Dollar Listing LA or NY.

Not enough for the incredible work they do: printing out leaflets, putting up a sign, entering the data in MLS... - if anything, 6 percent is too little.

Next time I buy a piece of property I definitely won't have the feeling that I should just "hurry up" and not waste my Realtor's time.

How often do you give birth

Lol, each time I'm pregnant. Four times to date. Ready to be finished, as my vagina is not a clown car.

Not the PP, but you do not need to be envious to think its a shame that realtors can make that much when there's barely a reason for the profession to exist in the first place.

It REALLY varies. My brother in law is a realtor and in 2006, 2007, 2008 he made between 750-900 and in 2009 made 210k. 210k is good money but when your life is built around 750 + its a problem.

not an agent but I can tell you that you're thinking about this the wrong way. You are only focusing on what they sell - I bet any agent on here can tell you countless stories of the thousands upon thousands of dollars spent on marketing a home only to end up not selling it.

agents only eat what they kill. You on the other hand can count on a paycheck every two weeks. I bet you'd change your tune if you knew that your kids eating or not eating was totally based on your ability to sell or not sell a house.
