I use Philosophy Amazing Grace antip/deo. active ingredient: aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex gly (18.0%). It is expensive - $18 for 3oz. And often hard to find in stock, even online. I ask my local Ulta manager to call me when they get some (and they only get like 2 sticks a month!). It does seem to last a long time and is the only thing that works for me.

I am a sweater (that looks funny typing!) and used Certain Dri in college. It really does work but the burning sensation made me worry it was too strong.

I have been using Lady Speed Stick 24/7 GEL for a while after much trial and error and I'm very happy with it.

So you put on Certain Dry every 3 days and Dove every morning over the Certain Dry?

Ban Unscented or Secret Unscented are my choices. I got to the point where my body chemistry combined with any scented antiperspirant/deodorant left me with terrible b.o. I've had no trouble since I switched to unscented products.

Meh. Deodorant funk is worse than how you naturally smell. If you shower daily during the winter you're probably fine if it doesn't work. Also, save yourself the terrible exposure to cancer causing aluminum.

Also, PP, if you find yourself needing to put deodorant on "your ass," I think you yourself need to clean better.

OP I love the "unscented" Mitchum gel. It's allegedly for men, but it has such a sweet, clean musk smell, like those simple cologne from the 80s, but it's very subtle.

You probably don't have to, but you have to realize Certain Dry is harsh on your skin and shaving doesn't help. I use Dove because it is soothing and moisturizing. I just get the cheapest deodorant (no antiperspirant) that's like 1/4 moisturizer. If you do decide to go the Certain Dry route, use the roll on, not the stick, and don't shave within about 12 hour before hand.

Every Dove product I have ever used (soap, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, body wash) has made my skin itch like crazy.
