My family has already eaten dinner. Just waiting on dad so we can all play cards. Dinner only involved a reheat. |

Yams are much healthier than potatoes: You can microwave for 5 min or so, but better is to put in oven (or preheat oven; doesn't matter) to 400F for 1/2 hour, turn over and poke a few times with a fork, then bake another 1/2 hour.
+1 on the hard boiled eggs The Joy of Cooking is a great book because it tells you how to do really basic stuff (like bake a squash) Frozen mixed veggies--heat up; dump tomato sauce on it; there's your healthy "spaghetti"! You can add a little shredded parmesan on top. Of course you can also do spaghetti squash.. |
