David Iatesta, Neirman Weeks, Holly Hunt, Dessin Fournir. These are high end. Not many of the other companies listed are high end. Personally I don't have $15,000+ to spend on a dining table. But if you do, these companies would be a good start.

I had one made in Ohio by amish craftsman. We picked a modern finish and thought the customer service was great. They sent samples for the stain. The website was online but they have a physical store as well which made me feel more comfortable

The OP has ruled out the mid range places. She didn't give a budget but is looking for high quality.

You don't mention what your taste is. If your taste runs traditional and formal, you might want to look at furniture made my Henkel Harris.

Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Home Rule. You might be able to find high-end vintage at Miss Pixies

Now, Lady Mary, you know you told the wealthy newspaper executive who was going to bale out Downton Abbey that people like him buy furniture but that Lady Mary and her ilk inherit. Remember that without Cora Levinson's money and the infusion from Livinia Swires' deceased father, Lady Mary would be working at Selfridge's and having her bottom pinched by Mr. Selfridge.

Okay, DA starts on January 5. I will be fine. I promise
