+1 I agree with this.

I like to have a 30 second conversation to ask how the day went (just want to know if it was a good day or what we need to work on). I hate the pick up line as they bitterly complain about our car seats and refuse to strap in my child properly despite showing them repeatedly.

+1 I actually enjoy my child and enjoy the extra 20 to 30 extra seconds communicating with him.

And as soon as you exit the police will be right there to slap you with a ticket!

It's a carpool line for a reason. If you want to park, then go park your car. It's very inconsiderate for you to park to walk your child in, don't you talk in the car on the way to school? Are to trying to pass on narcissistic traits to your child. "Doesn't matter what the rules are, I do what I want!"

I don't know how old your child is... but above 2nd grade she is going to resent you being a hover-mom, and frankly it's just weird.

Your school doesn't have a parking lot where you can park and then walk in and drop off your child?

Why can't you have a 30 second conversation with your kid in the car? What am I missing?

I really hope that what I'm missing is not that your ambushing the teacher for a 30 second conversation at a time when her attention needs to be on getting the kids where they need to go safely.

The world doesn't revolve around you. Just know that the other parents in the carpool line all hate you and feel sorry for your kid.
