Regarding the Registrar at the JCC - I spoke to him, but he told me the Assistant Director was the only person who could give out details regarding the waiting list (such as number of spots available, if there are kids who are not on the wait list and already guaranteed a spot, what number my child is on the list). He was very nice though and apologized for the lack of response I have been receiving. Thanks. |
I have a friend whose son is at the DCJCC on 16th and Q. She seems quite disgusted with the place. The Teachers are very inexperienced, one of the classes has not had a physical classroom for months due to some licensing issues, another class has been trying to fill a spot for a teacher for months, so the poor kids have had subs, and really the list goes on. I would think long and hard about sending your kid there. |
To the PP, we are currently with DCJCC, and it is not as 'disgusting' as some may say. It has issues, and hopefully, they are addressing them. Our daughter is in the wonderful class with very good teachers and is doing really well. They really just need to get a very good director on board to organize the place a bit. The school has great resources for the kids! |
The DCJCC has had quite a few problems over the past 6 months. There are very few experienced teachers there, and it is quite chaotic.
Tread with caution. |
Disgusting! |
Isn't there a separate thread on this? I don't understand. |
Go to preschool thread - the DCJCC had a load of problems last year, but it's been incredible this year for a variety of reasons (including the much applauded departure of the old director). |
