I detest pumpkin pie. Alternative pumpkin desserts?

Skinnytaste no bake pumpkin cheesecake. It is super simple and way better than plain pumpkin pie. I would go the extra step and make my own graham cracker (or whatever you like) crust.

My wife is also not fond of squishy foods, so I understand. Instead, I make pumpkin bread or muffins with a cream cheese frosting that are quite popular.

Pecan pie and key lime pie. One a little heavy and earth, the other light and fresh.

I've made this before and love it. I think I used an Epicurious recipe.

Question about the roll, is it always filled with cream cheese or has anyone had it with whipped cream inside? I think I would prefer the latter. Maybe with an additional layer of salted caramel for good measure.

Well, I've had yule logs made with whipped cream--so I don't see why it wouldn't work for a pumpkin roll.

The cream cheese in the roll is really tasty, I think whipped cream would be kind of a let down.

Google Paula Deen Gooey Pumpkin Butter cake. It's a huge hit. Only modifications you can do is sub spice cake mix for yellow, if you want, and cut back on the powdered sugar in the filling.

Second this. It's relatively easy and looks fancy for a gathering.

Pumpkin roll was one of the desserts in regular rotation at the college I went to, it was so good but I don't think I've had one since. I think the cream cheese filling is traditional, but whipped cream could be good, particularly if you are doing a 2nd topping.

Yes, the pumpkin bread pudding is really easy and has been a big hit in our house. Make it with the caramel sauce and it is amazing.

Good God, OP, do you work for Starbucks? Pumpkin, whip cream, and salted carmel? Sounds like a gross combo.

Just bring a damn pumpkin pie and bring a pie you like.
