Good Question. If the sports field is a given, what is the petition for? Is it actually a petition for parking spaces disguised as one for sports fields? That's dishonest and yucky.

Actually, no, the sports field is not a given either. The petition promotes the project as a whole and clearly states so.
I for one am thoroughly convinced that more multi-purpose athletic fields are needed and really don't mind seeing them cover parking space. Seems like a more efficient use of space, in the middle of a city for sure.

13:02 said there was money for a new field, that's why the petition seems strange. If there isn't underground parking, will the current field and parking lot stay the same?

I am thoroughly convinced that more multi-purpose sports fields are needed. I am not convinced that should include a one story parking structure. What is the cost of just the field compared to what the petition is looking for? SH just had a massive modernization. Why wasn't this included? Or at least a field as a minimum? Because of the parking issue?

This doesn't sound like a well thought out plan. With limited funds and other schools waiting for modernizations the SH community wants to push this project?

Why is parking needed if this is a neighborhood sports complex. The last time I looked a walkable neighborhood is more conducive. Yeah, signing the adult generated petition will help the children with parking issues. Is this the subaru, prius/hybrid crew, y'all are so unrelenting?
