Really? I haev BCBS PPO, but it's federal employee. Does that make a difference? I didn't notify them with pg #1 and never paid a dime (even for DH's food at the hospital) and I am now 29wks with baby #2 and they are paying the OB/sono bills without questions. Just curious. |
Congratulations! Welcome to the most addicting and informative place ![]() Make sure you know what to eat/not eat. Don't lick the batter of anything with raw egg-don't eat soft cheese that is unpasturized, etc! (also I avoided sushi except california roll--raw fish is too risky on the baby) |
Yep, I read the fine print in my insurance booklet, and they said I had to inform them that early. My policy is not a federal policy. It's based out of New York state. So I guess it's worth it to double check what the fine print of your insurance, just in case. |
Have lots of sex now. Seriously. ![]() Congrats. I LOVED my pregnancy. Barfing and all. |
Get as much sleep as possible, too. ![]() |
CONGRATS!!!! Call dr, get on prenatal, look into daycare and ask questions, and ENJOY. You may be getting sick soon, so enjoy this feeling now! And if you do not get sick, DOUBLY enjoy it.
I liked the Sears books, but they are a little crunchy. I would what to expect and sears and read the one you are feeling that day! |
I have BC/BS (not federal/state plan) and didn't have to notify them of anything. They have covered everything so far (I'm 28 weeks) and have sent me information about healthy pregnancy, etc, so they've clearly figured it out ![]() |
one cute book that I would recommend is the Belly Book. This is a little scrapbook that gives you pages week by week and you take pictures of your belly each week (1-40). It is really cute and fun to fill out. The only thing is is that you have to stay on top of the picture thing...check it out.
Congrats. |
