I think this is very typical, and not a big deal. She will learn to sound out the full word as her decoding skills get better.
You can encourage her to use the book to figure out the word - ie: is that a watermelon in the picture? And you can model sounding out the word as well. But honestly, just read to her and keep it light and fun.
