If you have severe PMS, do you remind your spouse every month?

And when I said useful above I meant the app as a whole...not the threat level stat!

If your husband is moody does that give him free reign to treat you like crap as long as he gives you a heads up that he is moody and going to treat you like crap?

NP here. You don't get it.
I have on more than one occasion bitten my family's head off on a given day only to realize a couple of days later that it was due to PMS (I'm terrible at keeping track and not that regular either). The effect is off the charts and totally uncontrollable unless you know to expect it.
Your comment equates to saying that being on speed isn't an excuse for bad behavior.

I'm pursuing supplements, meditation and acupuncture in hopes of getting things under control and it's working so far. However, it's not gone completely and I feel like I need to tell my DH to tread lightly during those days in the month. Does anyone remind their spouses of this on a monthly basis? Dare I ask, is there an app that you have used? Does the reminder even help?

Roseanne episode.

I'm sure this is exactly the kind of constructive feedback on a sensitive subject the OP was looking for! Thank you for your wise words.

Then maybe you should track it better and know to expect it so you can control it. I still don't think it gives you an excuse to treat people poorly. I think the whole concept of 'heads up husband, I am going to be a total bitch to you for the next few days, and you will take it and not complain' is actually pretty abusive. Does your husband also get a week a month to treat you like shit and you just have to take it?

so you're equating "severe PMS" with testosterone that leads to "male behavior."? The internet.

There are quite a few articles showing higher levels of testosterone can lead to aggression and dominance. And we know that in about 7 days of abstinence from sex, testosterone levels rise significantly. So basically you are saying that if a man doesn't have sex for a week, and his testosterone levels rise then aggression and dominance are acceptable and the wife should just tolerate it because it is caused by a hormonal shift.

If he tolerates his wife acting the same way because of a hormonal shift . Signed someone who used to have terrible mood swings when I was PMSing/weaning from breastfeeding and I learned to calm myself down and not treat people around me like shit. It can be done.

the first pp you quote did not say anything about higher levels - so stop making things up.

You need to get help.

If the natural pathy stuff doesn't work, go to your OB. You shouldn't have to suffer.
