Really Ted Cruz

Anonymous
I heard an interview on NPR that referenced an article where Cruz's college roommate was interviewed about Cruz's prospects as a presidential candidate. The roommate - who espoused no ill-will toward Cruz - told the reporter that he would vote for anyone else before he would vote for Cruz. He actually said you could just pick a name from the phonebook, and that guy would be a better choice.

Kind of ruined his chances at that, didn't he?

I think he just wants to increase his speaking fee later.

Bingo. He'll do the primary, he won't get the nomination, but he'll be set for life because idiots will pay $$$ to hear him speak.

Starting with Faux News, which will give him his own show.

Wow. He was (is) willing to sabotage his party and their prospects solely for his own interests, with absolutely no consideration at all for what is best for the country he supposedly serves. This shutdown nightmare cost taxpayers billions of dollars for absolutely nothing.

Man, republicans are dark.

Wow. I'd be glad for a link if anyone had it.

Easy now, no one's calling everyone in Texas an idiot. Only around 55% of the voting age population is an idiot. We don't know about the kids under the voting age, but since the Texas state school board is doing everything in it's power to ensure the next generation of Texas school children is as ignorant as fucking possible, it could be much higher than 55%.

I assume you either live in Texas, or grew up there and now live in the DC area. In the first case, my condolences. In the latter, my hearty congratulations.

Neither. Just didn't understand why anyone with a brain would need help finding that article.

Cruz has a seriously old man face for a young senator from Texas. It's like Lyndon Baines Jimenez.

It's originally from a lengthy profile of Cruz that appeared in GQ recently.

Who are these "millions of Americans" who he thinks are on his side? Does he not see the polls that blame him and his cronies for the mess and disapprove of his positions?
Anonymous
No, because he's delusional.

"A true cynic about American politics would, at this point, be forced to one conclusion: Sen. Ted Cruz is a Democratic sleeper agent."
