I wanted to name ds Marcus.
I love it but DH said its a black name and was against it. |

| We considered it too ... I like it, but ultimately we did decide that it sounded too associated with one particular ethnic group (that we do not belong to). I feel like a horrible racist, but I realized that I'm not willing to give my child a black name. (Hanging head in shame). |

Marcus is an ancient Roman name. (Marcus Aurelius, anyone?) My cousin's child is named Marcus and they're about as white as you can get.
