That is BS. I have ADD. I am a woman Un/undermedicated, I would be busy all day long...running around and trying to get things done. I may be doing 5 things at once and not finish one of them. Or I may finish a couple and totally forget an important appointment. I am, in fact, totally more active when I am off meds. Busy, busy, busy...just not effective/efficient. My meds slow my brain down enough now that I can prioritize and plan and actually get things done.

My ADD husband also achieves a lot. He can just spin his wheels sometimes. But he achieves career wise. PP: what meds do you take? I am still trying to get treatment for my husband who needs someone with some real ADD expertise.

I take Vyvanse with an Adderall booster when needed in the afternoon. Different mess work for different people. Some people prefer Adderall to Vyvanse but Vyvanse is much better for me for focus and calm. The booster just helps it keep going.
