| Any kind of ball, car, truck, train. Basically, things that move. Boys are typically attracted to motion. |

DS loves the Little People Wheelies cars. It's been a couple of years. First he played with them on a racetrack rug, then with the standing Wheelies ramp (love it!) and now both, plus he likes to sort/organize them and carry them around in his backpack and buckets. So cute.
He also loves balls - will turn anything into a tennis racket or hockey stick to hit balls around the house or outside. Can't go wrong there! |

My 17month old loves anything that makes noise or music, so he has a toy piano and instruments, a block that plays different orchestra sounds, etc... He also loves animals, so puzzles with animals, a toy barn with farm animals, etc...
It shouldn't be hard to find something he'd like. Toys that are noisy, require physical manipulation, or represent things in his world that he's starting to recognize are all good. |
| In addition to what's been recommended by others, my boy LOVES his Ikea play kitchen. Got it and some of the accessories for his 2nd Christmas and still plays with it frequently (now 4 y/o). Trains are still his favorite toy, however. |
| My prediction is that the building museum will be an absolute zoo this weekend... |
| Trains and cars are a big hit for ours. I second the rug. Ours can hold trains and cars. |
| My toddler plays with a swifter mop, a vacuum cleaner part, and a cat piano. I have no idea why we ever get him toys. |
