Vent about my mom

Yeah, don't let negative people (assuming this continues) bring you down. Hopefully she doesn't turn the tables to you should only visit her, not vice versa.

OP here.
Yes dad came too. He is such a different type of person. Don;t know how he puts up.
I wouldn't mind too much him coming on his own, the kids would, but he is so active, cheerful etc.
My mom's sister, who also wants to visit us, is like him. wish they would come together.

Mom spends a lot of time on her ipad playing scrabble with a woman. They met (for real) for the first time about 4 months ago, after having played maybe since last Christmas or so. This woman is quite ill, she has fibromyalgia and a few complications. She has been renting an apartment in the town where my parents live, so she could spend time with my mom. My mom went with her to her vacation place, like 3 hours drive, 3 or 4 times. Last time the friend felt very ill and my mom had to look after her and stay longer because of this. This woman is not alone has one daughter (married etc), still my mom and her seem to have become very important in each other's lives. I noticed since this started it is very hard to skype (my kids used to skype 2 or 3 times a week), she lost interest generally in us (does not ask about us, no attention to first day of school or whatever is going on).
Anyway, I don't get it. I am not against my mom making new friends, but it seems that in some ways we have been replaced. This happened before, when I was still living with my parents. Hate it.
I find my mom weird, selfish, self-centered, insecure, distrustful, annoying, lazy .... lol should rethink my interest in seeing her cos of my kids!!!!
Anyway, disgruntling again I think!

Never fly through CDG. I am young and I also said never again, and I mean it. Air France is the worst.
