I don't know anything about the Falls Church campus, but the DC Communikids is a great school! I don't think I would call it inexpensive, though.

de colores, mi palacio, and estrellitas (just opening, so probably space) come to mind. when are you looking to startt?

then you can also try to lottery into the incredibly popular charter or public options for ps3- or pk4 : mundo verde, LAMB, marie reed dual, powell dual language, Elsie Stokes, etc. For those, search on the "DC public school forum." But this would be starting in Fall 2014 and your child would have to be 3 by September 3. On the other hand, these are good--and FREE--programs, with paid aftercare. The lottery is this srping, and you must be a dc resident to apply.

I know a home daycare that teach Spanish, my son used to go there and he learned Spanish. He went there since he was 1 year and the teachers are very nice. That daycare was like a preschool because my son learned letters, shapes, colors and more. If you are interested I can give you the phone number. The location is in Wheaton-Silver Spring, Maryland.

Caterpillar Preschool in Tenleytown has Spanish immersion and there is a lot of flexibility on the timing (you can do 2, 3, or 5 mornings a week, or full day). http://city-gate.org/preschool/

Good luck getting them to call you back though! We are really interested in this school but are giving up due to an inability to get in touch with them.

Estrellitas just opened a new location. My son goes there. It's not a pre-school, but a daycare, but it's structured more as a pre-school. They get lots of outside time, walks to the playground and the place is big.

Check out their website:http://www.estrellitasdc.com/

Hi there,

In case anyone is looking for a Spanish immersion school in Vienna, VA (right outside DC), VIPkids Vienna Immersion has a great program. They have a Preschool Program in the mornings, and an After School Program in the afternoons. My children have been going there for years, and not only have they learned to read and write in Spanish, but have also gained an appreciation for other cultures. Being a smaller program, the teachers really focus on the individualized education of each child. I highly recommend checking them out!

We had to pass on VIP kids. The preschool only goes to 12n and the evening aftercare is not for preschoolers. Very nice director and facilities though.
