I like to put cinnamon and splenda in it. Also, try and eat the full fat kind (TJ has it). Tastes less acidic.

I just put good jam in the plain Greek yogurt byes it still has sugar, but I can control how much I put in and weaned myself to a small amount.

PP here and I agree with the other poster about the higher fat yogurt too, tastes better and thereby needing less other stuff in it to make it palatable.

When I first started eating plain Greek yogurt, I added honey and/or berries, sometimes granola, too. Dried, frozen, or fresh fruit has a fair amount of natural sugar, but it also has fiber and antioxidants, so I'm OK with it.

+1

I've been cutting down on the honey and fruit recently and can almost eat Fage 2% plain - it's so creamy and yummy. Sometimes I add a drop of vanilla extract.

This actually works better than you'd think! The PP is right; you really don't need much. I love Fage 2% with a little Bonne Maman Four Fruits. Less than a tablespoon actually goes a long way. Also, if you buy frozen cherries and defrost them, you can either run them through the blender or just mash them a little and add them to yogurt. Sweet, but not overwhelmingly so.

Take a plan and regular fruit flavored and mix them together. Now you have two servings each with 1/2 the sugar. Not perfect but better than full strength.

Another one who likes it savory -- and I have a huge sweet tooth. I mix in parmesan or Romano cheese.

Lol. I'm the poster you quoted and I eat the same yogurt and jam as you . Try the cherry Bonne Maman too.

When you add syrup or honey, be sure and drizzle it but do not mix it in. Mixing it in dilutes it and makes it seem less sweet. Just try and get a little drizzle of the honey or syrup in each spoonful and you will not need to add so much sweetener.

Ha! I think I'd eat Bonne Maman (love the cherry and the marmalade, too!) on a piece of drywall! So, so good!

First, this is too funny that you both eat the same thing!

Second, I love Bonne Maman (it's on sale at Giant right now!) so I have to try this with my Fage.

Thanks!
