Get the BBC miniseries of "Pride and Prejudice"! And I always love watching old movies, which my husband doesn't like, such as old Bette Davis, Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn, etc.

Enjoy, OP!

I'm so jealous that I don't want to recommend anything. I'm so hating right now. Ugh!!!

That potbellied thing I'm chained to is downstairs shuffling around as we speak. I wish his job would send him somewhere for a month.

Good on ya OP. Grrrrrrr!

OP here - you guys rock. Thanks so much! I am only a couple of days into it and so far, it is kind of fun. It would probably be a different story if I was SAHM, but I am doing a PT gig so that is giving me some adult time breaks. Otherwise I would probably go nuts by the end of two weeks.

Perhaps I should have expanded my thread to say "WWYD- Husband gone for 2 weeks" and looked for other recs as well. So far, I have a girlfriend coming over one night just to hang and chat after kiddos have gone to bed and I'll probably schedule a babysitter one night so I can go out with friends. I have kindle full of good books (also thank you DCUM) as well.

No family in the area, but I'll survive!

Wish my husband would be gone for 2 weeks. Sounds like a vacation!!!

So sad, but I was thinking the same thing. My mom is local and I would pull the old "oh woah is me..its so hard being alone!" And she would take the kids and i would be alone for the weekend. It would be incredible.

Lol. Imagine the freedom. I cannot even fathom. What on earth would one do?!?!

Sleep, exercise, eat crap, get dressed up and go out and flirt. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.
