Not Ovulating

Anonymous
Thanks. I understand that it is only my first month charting, but if I really am not ovulating I want to discuss that with my OB sooner rather than later. I am going to try for another cycle and if the temps do not reflect ovulation next month I am going to schedule an appointment.

I would skip the OB altogether and make an appointment with an RE.

I was diagnosed with PCOS. I am finally pregnant with no intervention and it turns out I was ovulating the whole time - but it was happening just 2 days after getting off my period. Temp charting never reflected this "early" ovulation. So..you never know. I would still ask my OB before wasting a bunch ot time.

Interesting... I wonder if I am in a similar boat, though I was able to conceive the first month. Based on temping and first ultrasound, I also ovulated two days after my period the cycle i got pregant. I have always had irregular cycles, ranging from 28 to 40 days long, with apparently, very early ovulation. How were you eventually diagnosed? And do you know why your temp didn't spike when you ovulated? TIA!

I had textbook charts before my son was born (now 4 YO)-- now my chart is all over the place, and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that my sleeping is all over the place. Temping is great when you're really consistent, but if you get up to go to the bathroom or really change the time you go to bed / wake up, you'll find that things can be screwy. Sometimes I'll have what seems like a normal chart for a week or two and then bam, several weird days of randomness (up with sick child, up to pee 2x during the night), the temp spikes, then it's back down, then it spikes again. I have no idea what to think!

I don't understand this. So, assuming your period like a week at best, you ovulate on day 9, then you have a 19 day leuteal phase??
