Nature Show Recommendation for Young Children?

OP here. We watched the "Congo" episode of the "Africa" series. We were able to buy it in HD from our Roku ($4). My daughter went NUTS for it. She loved it.

I watched it with her and there was no violence. There are two mating scenes (one of frogs and another of elephants), but I thought it was pretty harmless. I don't think she really noticed anything different. On a side note though, an elephant penis is INSANELY huge. Again, I don't think my daughter is that observant but maybe an older kid would be. She was just so in awe of everything.

I like the Africa series because it's relatively slow moving action (instead of just flashing pictures of animals) and it's just so lovely in HD. Anyways, FYI if anyone else is thinking about this for their kids.

Wild Kratts but also start Nature on PBS. She won't understand everything but in time she will. We taped a bunch of episodes and watched them for years.

Another vote for wild kratts. My 3yo likes it.
