Do you consider corn a starch or vegetable?

My mom is a pediatrician and growing up we had to eat at least one vegetable (actually we ate lots but even visiting friends were giving a heavy lecture about one real vegetable per meal).

Corn was not a vegetable. Nor were french fries even with lots of katsup.

As an adult, I don't think of it as a veg. side but more like the potato than along with the potato.

I'd go chicken, corn, asparagus.

I think of it as a veggie..but we don't have it much as it is low nutritionally. Corn on the cob a few times over the summer and maybe kernels in a Mexican dish,

I consider corn a starch; DH considers it a veggie.

I consider it a low-nutrition veggie. I never served it pre-kids. But it's on our dinner table a couple of times a week now. I try to have two veggies each for lunch and dinner, so it's never the only thing.

Starch. Definitely not a veg substitute.
