Ring bearer outfit for 2yo

Whenever I think of a two year old in a "suit" at a wedding it makes me think Jersey italian trash. Maybe its from watching too many NJ based reality shows but a PP nailed, its "low rent"--next thing is a hummer limo and grooms men all in white suits. jon jon is adorable.

You shouldn't be so hateful toward two year olds and their clothing. Many people think it is beyond strange to treat a 2 year old like a baby and dress him in a romper. Using the term "low rent" to describe a two year old really indicates who is low rent in this situation. And hint, it isn't the child.

I think rompers are a little bit too babyish for a two year old, but the mini-me suit/tux is too grown-up (plus odds are your little one will destroy rented tux and you will have to pay for repairs...BTDT when my little brother was a ring bearer in cousin's wedding).

What is the flower girl, if there is one, wearing? Try to make them at least coordinating/complimentary, and of course ask the bride! Am I the only one that finds it odd that she didn't give you guidance?

When is the wedding? Is it soon? This is really cute:

Early September wedding maybe?:

Super cute and in shorts or pants

Maybe too casual but adorable. Could even go with the satin one for a more formal wedding.

I don't think PP's "hatred" was directed at the child...

FWIW, I think the same thing when I see adults at weddings in rented tuxedos. Even though I know it's very commonplace, I think it's completely tacky and pretentious. We had a no-tux wedding because we don't move in social circles where most people own tuxedos, and I'm from Europe where nobody but maybe the very upper classes wears them anymore.

I got my son a really nice suit when he got picked as the ring bearer for my cousins wedding. It was pretty expensive, but the suit was worth it.

My 3 year old was the ring bearer for my brother's wedding just last week. Burlington Coat Factory has some adorable black Nautica dress pants in 2T for about $15. White dress shirt was only $8, but it's really thin. I would have bought a more expensive dress shirt had we not been putting a vest/tie over it, so I just stuck with the $8. We got this vest/tie combo from Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Boys-Toddlers-Satin-Vest-Long-Adjustable-Zipper-Tie-Formal-Suit-COLORS-/251319747601?pt=US_Boys_Clothing&var=&hash=item3a83d30411 My son wears a 3T, so we ordered a 4 and it was a perfect fit.

My son looked freaking adorable!

White polo shirt with a collar. Khaki or grey pants. Navy sweater if it's chilly.

Cheap, sensible, sweet.

Definitely get a blazer! He will look so cute. Rompers look ridiculous on 2 year olds. Janie and Jack has cute stuff, but I bet you could find stuff second hand.

Ask the bride before you shop. Personally, I think blazers look absurd, as do slacks, on boys under 4. The jon jon is adorable and classic. The blazer/pants is a little lower rent. Evaluate your wedding crew and/or ask the bride.

Nor should you be so hateful toward Italians. Or any other group, for that matter. I thought people here were supposed to be intelligent? Wow.

OP, ask the bride or the bride's mother (if the mother is involved first hand with planning - if not, just ask the bride). Is this such a difficult rule of thumb for any wedding? I don't understand the need for so many wedding question posts. Nor do I understand the reluctance to ask any host of any party, celebration, event or wedding - of their preference. Is this not common sense to most people?

PP here. It is hilarious when anyone here pretends to know anything about etiquette. Of all of the formal events I have attended, this is the absolute last place I would ask.

For a WEDDING? Really?

I bet OP decided what to dress him in already, since the wedding was months ago.
